Neurodiversity
While historically labels such as autism and ADHD have been understood in dehumanizing and ableist ways, I want to work with you to show you that these labels exist to the extent that they have utility for you. Having a diagnosis can be immensely helpful as a starting point for gaining self-understanding and self-compassion, but only when challenges experienced in the context of an ableist world are understood in tandem with the strengths and value neurodiversity brings. I want to support you in developing the skills to advocate for yourself, find strategies to improve your quality of life, and radicalize you against the idea that normalcy exists at all.
